I’ve been absent

I’m still here! I promise! I’ve been in a funk lately since my grandfather has been so ill. My parents are still there, helping out and waiting. Last week I had to put their dog down. Molly was almost 16, she had a wonderful life, got to travel a lot with my parents! We got her when I was 15, so she was my pet as well. She had cancer on her liver and wasn’t eating or drinking, so it was time. It was another sad day, adding to my funk.

On a good note, my husband and I got baptized last Sunday and we did a dedication for our son at church. We went to the river and had a lovely chat and prayer before we were dunked!

I love our new church! We started out by going to a small group at our neighbors house, and our pastor lives the next street over. Then we started attending church, and felt really at home. Our church is Christ Community Church. We don’t have our own building, so we worship on Texas State University’s campus. Our church is part of Every Nation Ministry. We have a very diverse group of members, a lot are college students and young professionals, mixed with some young families.
